The Metropolitan Police Service is famed around the world and has a unique place in the history of policing. It is by far the largest of the police services that operate in greater London (the others include the City of London Police and the British Transport Police). The Royal Parks Constabulary has now become part of the Metropolitan Police Service. Prevention of Fraud in Travel was officially formed via the Metropolitan Police through its initiative Operation Sterling in 2009. Since the formation of Prevention of Fraud in Travel we continue to work very closely with the Metropolitan Police. One of the Metropolitan Police`s most successfully area of work in the travel and leisure industry was in Operation Neon. For more information see Operation Neon >>. The Metropolitan Police is a founder member of Prevention of Fraud in Travel and plays a key role in fraud prevention within the travel and leisure industry.
