Fraud squad ups property raids

The Serious Fraud Office carried out 29 property raids in the last financial year, up from three in the previous year, according to figures from law firm Pinsent Masons.

The watchdog conducted eight raids on firms or individuals under investigation, and a further 21 to seize assets after conviction. The rise comes two years after the failed raids, arrests and probes into the Tchenguiz brothers.
