Police hunt travel agent

An online travel agent is being sought by police after allegedly duping customers out of £125,000 and ruining dozens of holidays.

Hayley King, 34, is accused of taking money from victims who were told her firm Around The World Travel had booked their trips.

Holidaymakers reported turning up to find hotel rooms had not been paid for.

Police have identified 56 alleged victims of fraud from across the UK, with losses of about £125,000.

King, previously of Feltham, flew to Fuerteventura in the Canary Islands on March 24 last year but appears not to have returned.

Her business collapsed in April and customers have been unable to contact her. She is described as 5ft 10in, of medium build with a scar on her left arm.

Effi Gounaris, 30, who planned to go to the Maldives on a “dream honeymoon”, told the BBC she paid £5,000 to King for the trip — about half the price of other deals.
