AirAsia warns customers of free ticket scams
Low-cost carrier AirAsia is the latest airline to warn customers of a free ticket scam.
It has been alerted to posts on social media offering free tickets via an online survey.
Survey participants answer several questions and then are purportedly given vouchers to redeem for free flights, the airline said in a release.
It is in no way associated with AirAsia and airline said it is not liable for any claims resulting from the scam.
“There is also another scam circulating on Facebook, offering 268 free tickets in conjunction with AirAsia’s 28th anniversary. Both scams used the AirAsia brand without authorisation and aim to lure the public to participate in it,” it added.
