Hotel sickness scam ringleader is taken into court

The heavily pregnant British expat being held in Majorca suspected of masterminding a holiday food poisoning scam was today taken to court in handcuffs.

Laura Joyce, 28, and her mother Deborah Cameron, 59, were arrested at a luxury family home in the upmarket suburb of Bendinat on the Spanish island earlier this week.
It has today been alleged that Joyce paid an ‘army of ticketers’ £50 pounds for every Briton persuaded to make false food poisoning claims

Today, Joyce, who is eight months pregnant was escorted to a courthouse in the Majorcan capital Palma along with four other suspects – all believed to be British.

The five suspects were later pictured leaving the courthouse, one of them making a rude gesture at photographers as he exited.
