Nearly 600,000 people in the city have had their identity stolen through a variety of methods, such as uncovering credit card details, email passwords, date of births and secret answers used to access confidential data.

Nearly 600,000 people in the city have had their identity stolen making it the number one fraud capital of the country.

Amazingly, more people have had their identity stolen in the city than the total population – which currently stands at 420,000 – meaning several private details are being snatched per person.
