Rita Hunter won’t have to pay back a single penny

Rita Hunter says she doesn’t know what she spent it on and has now been declared bankrupt.

A crooked travel agent who pocketed more than £200,000 from clients won’t have to pay any of it back.

Rita Hunter sold dream holidays including flights and accommodation to unsuspecting victims via her travel company.

But instead of booking the services, the 63-year-old pocketed the cash , including a bereaved dad’s life insurance payout.

Hunter, who has refused to say what she spent any of the money on, fooled her victims into thinking she was their friend.

Some only discovered flights hadn’t been booked at the airport, while others found hotel bills weren’t paid when due to fly home.

A grieving dad, from whom she took £173,799, suffered heart problems, which he blamed on the stress she caused.
